12.3 Left Side Frame

When you click on the Frame drop down menu, you now see 3 selections – Main Frame, Left Side Frame and Right Side Frame. This allows you to select which frame you want to view or insert an ad to. Let’s select the Left Side Frame option.

Click the ‘Insert New Ad Here’ button below the table to insert a new ad.

It will take you to the ‘Image’ page. We are going to put an image with the company’s name in this frame. It will be a static image.  We will be using the image named demo2-1.jpg. Enter the ad title; you can put in demo2-1. Leave all the pre-filled data as they are.  The default is set to start playing the ads today, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week until the end of 2008.

Set the Ad Posting Duration to a very high number like 1200 because this is the only image we will be displaying in this frame.

Select ‘demo2-1.jpg’ as the file to be uploaded.

Set the Transition Style to ‘BlendTrans’ and the ‘Duration’ to 2 seconds.

Click on the ‘Browse’ button and select demo2-1.jpg from the directory that you have saved the downloaded images.

Click the ‘Submit’ button to submit content. You will be prompted when the upload is finished.

Then you will be taken back to the Content Summary page.

Click ‘V’ to view the image you just uploaded. You’ll see that the image is being displayed in the upper left frame.

We are done with this frame.

12.4 Right Side Frame

Let’s select ‘Right Side Frame’ from the Frame drop down menu. We will create the next 3 ads using Image ad type. We will be using demo2-2.jpg, demo2-3.jpg and demo2-4.jpg.

Click the ‘Insert New Ad Here’ button.  The ‘Image’ page will be display.

Enter the ad title ‘demo2-2’.  Leave the rest of the pre-filled as they are including Ad Posting Duration. Select ‘demo2-2.jpg’ as the upload file. Set the ‘Transition Style’ to ‘BlendTrans’ and then click the ‘Submit’ button and the ‘Duration’ to 2 seconds.

You will be prompted when the file transfer is finished. Click the ‘OK’ button and you will be taken back to the ‘Content Summary’ page.

Now, you can view your ad by clicking ‘V’:

You can go back and forth between ‘V’ and ‘E’ to try different transition styles.

We will continue to add 2 more ads to this frame. From the ‘Content Summary’ page, click on the down arrow button to insert the next ad. Set all data fields the same as the last ad, except select ‘demo2-3.jpg’ as the file to be uploaded. Then click on the ‘Submit’ button. Do the same for ‘demo2-4.jpg’. Now you have 3 entries in this frame.

Congratulations!  You have just finished creating ad messages for the Right Side frame.

Now, let’s create ads for the main frame. From the Frame drop down menu, select the Main Frame option.

Click the ‘Insert New Ad Here’ button.

We have just finished creating all the ads. We are ready to display then as digital signage content.

Click on the ‘View Content’ button under the content summary table to test run the ads you just created.

12.6 Display Your Real Estate Ads

Same as before, click on the Start menu in the lower left corner of your screen. Click on the second last icon on the right hand side named ‘Run’. You will see the Run dialog box appear at the lower left corner of your screen. In the Open field, type in the following command exactly the same way as we show you below. In order to construct the command, you need to know your user logon name, your account password and the location name. Let’s say your user logon name is myaccount, your user account password is myaccount123 and the location name is myshop, the command will be:

iexplore –k http://myadtv.com/viewplayer.php?uName=myaccount&uPass=myaccount123&lName=myshop

(make sure you type in the lower case L for lName, not an upper case i.)

12.7 Display Your Real Estate Ads (Alternate ‘Delegated’ Version)

A second way to generate the command is to use the location name and the location password. Say your location name is myshop and the location password is myshop123, the command will be:

iexplore –k http://myadtv.com/viewplayer.php?lName=myshop&lPass=myshop123

(make sure you type in the lower case L for lName and lPass, not an upper case i.)

After you entered the command in the Run dialog box, click the OK button to start the playback.  This will display your ads in full screen without any browser frame.  You need to remember: to close the full screen browser, you need to press the Alt and F4 keys together.

13. Conclusion

Now you have learned how to create ad content from your own MyAdTV account. There are a few thinks you need to keep in mind: there is an ‘Online Help’ button on every page to give you a quick reference to the data fields you need to enter; there is a ‘Image Resolution Guide’ button on every new ad page to give you tips on how to select image resolution and aspect ratio for the display frame; when you need to create more ads than the allowable limit or when you need to upload larger flash or movie files, you need to upgrade your subscription to either ‘Standard’ or ‘Profession’.

We are also providing you with 2 more user guides on MyAdXchange and Account Structure Creation in MyAdTV. You need to be familiar with these features as well in order to utilize the full potential of MyAdTV.
