MyAdTV Quick Start User Guide

When you first logon to your account, the first screen you encounter is the Account Summary tab under the MyAdTV menu bar. There are different tabs displayed under each different menu bar as shown below. Please take a minute to read the tab names shown under each of the menu bars below.

Now that you are familiar with the tab names you will be prepared to leverage each tab to achieve your advertising goals. For our next step, let’s return to your ad development process.

10. Adding Display Locations

As your business grows you will need to create additional display locations. In order to create and purchase additional display locations, first go to the MyAdTV menu bar then select the Add Display Location tab

Complete all the data entry fields including the Location Logon Name and Location Password, Confirm Location Password and contact information including address, phone number and email address. The ‘Assign Account Owner’ field allows you to assign this new ‘Display Location’ account to another ‘User’ that is underneath you. Please see account expansion document for details. If you are a new user, just leave this alone. Next, you have to decide which template to choose, click on ‘See Example’ to see the list of templates available and the recommendations.

After you finished entering all the data, click the ‘Submit’ button first to validate that all the data you entered are correct. Your new location is acknowledged when all the data are correctly entered, then you are asked to activate the location through a PayPal purchase transaction. The selections are Standard Monthly Package, Standard Yearly Package, Pro Monthly Package and Pro Yearly Package. Initiate the upgrade process by clicking on the PayPal button next to the subscription type you want.

The screen will be switched to PayPal Secure Online Payment Service and there will be instructions to guide you through the transaction process. PayPal is a subsidiary of EBay and they provide secure online transaction services for millions of customers worldwide. If you do not have a PayPal account already, you will be asked to create an account in PayPal which is totally separated from MyAdTV, you can use your credit card or checking account to subscribe to the new Display Location account. You will be charged to the same credit card or checking account monthly or annually depending on the type of subscription you choose. For security purpose, you may want to use a different password from your MyAdTV account. After the payment transaction has been completed, you will be redirected back to MyAdTV screen.

11. Editing Display Location Profile

Go to MyAdTV menu tab; select Display Location Profile from the menu bar.

The Display Location Profile page gives you a summary of the display location info.

Clicking ‘Change Password’ here allows you the change the password,
so long as you can supply the original password.

Near the bottom of the screen, there is the ‘Unsubscribe Display Location’ button.

This allows you to cancel the Player account. Please do not press this button at this time!
If you have the starter package, canceling the display location account will cripple your account.

If you have a paying account and you no longer need it, you can then cancel it. Once cancelled, you will no longer be able to access the content in that Player account.

Next to it is the ‘Edit’ button. This allows you to edit any information on this account, change the owner of this Player account to another user, assign a different template or make this Player account as a mirror account of another Player account (for Standard and Professional package only). You may recall, changing the template, deletes your existing ads. So be careful and plan.

Click on the ‘Edit’ button and it will take you to the Edit page. You can edit any data in the edit boxes.

Change Account Owner allows users to assign a display location account to another user. Right now you are the only user in this account structure, so you cannot assign to anyone else. In the future, you may want to build an account structure when your store or company needs multiple user accounts. Please see account expansion document for details. We will also cover the steps to create new accounts in the MyAdTV section.

12. Designing a Real Estate Ad Campaign

Let’s create another signage display for a Real Estate company using a different template.

12.1 Select a Template

You should still be in the ‘Display Location Profile Edit’ page, if not, please go back to this page.

From the Assign Template field, click on the drop down menu and select Template7.

Then click on the Submit Changes button.

You will be prompted with the warning message that you are about to lose your entire ad content in this account. Please click the ‘OK’ button to confirm. And you are back to ‘Display Location Profile’ page.

Template7 has the layout shown below:

It has 3 frames instead of 1. Each frame is independently programmed to display different content.

12.2 Downloading Sample Images

You can download sample images from MyAdTV for use with your ads. If you haven’t done so, please do that now. We need all the images that start with the word demo2. Click on the link below; it will take you to another web page with all the images needed for this exercise.

Click on the MyAdPlayer tab at the top of the screen. Since all the ads that you previously created have been deleted, you see an empty table.

NOTE: The screen shows no ads posted for myadtv1, Main Frame. You would need to change the Location and Frame (a.k.a. Template) fields in order to verify which ads exist for different combinations of Location and Frame/Template.
